Blackthorn Blossom

Anyone else noticed the absolute profusion of Blackthorn blossom this year?, i took this photo up the lane earlier, all of the Blackthorns are absolutely covered, hopefully we wont get a late frost and all these blossoms will turn into fruit (Sloes) that i can harvest more than my fair share of later in the year.

  2. Its the best year I've ever seen for blackthorn blossom, it even makes a duel carriageway look great. Looking forward to picking plenty of sloes later in the year with any luck.

  3. Cheers Abo.

@WC agree with you, all the dual carriageways look superb at the moment, many of ours have the blossom overhead and the lush green of the Alexanders at the base of the trees, gives me something to look at when im stuck in traffic :-)
