Sycamore Kuksa / Kasa

I made a start on a new Kuksa / Kasa this afternoon, the cup is made from a glorious piece of fresh felled Sycamore that has been a dream to work with, to start off with i used my small adze to make the bowl and then went to the Swedish Carving Axe to shape the outside.

Once the majority of the waste wood had been removed, i used my spoon knife and A Wright Bushcraft knife to refine the shape a little and hollow out a bit more of the bowl until i got to a point where i was happy with the general shape and wall thickness, now i have to be patient and leave it for a few days in a semi closed ziplock bag to dry out a bit, before i can get the fine carving done on it.
